FAQ's

    Q. Can I get an evening appointment for a designer to visit?

    A. Yes, of course. Evening appointments are available upon request. Please ensure that you provide a full address for your property and landmarks to look out for or additional directions are always useful.

    Q. Do I need to prepare anything for the appointment?

    A. Just bring your ideas! We assume that by this point we will know what style you’re after and, if you’re having a kitchen installed, the appliance you will require. In the case of building work, such as a kitchen extension, please provide a copy of the architect’s plans at this point. Naturally we will be happy to answer questions, explain your options and offer advice at this meeting.

    Q. Can you carry out kitchen and bedroom makeovers further afield? My house is not in Cheltenham.

    A. We also have bases in Worcester, and Gloucester and Solihull and can refer you to these branches if you give us a call.

    Q. How would you describe your product range? What is the cost of a new kitchen?

    A. Our product range is impressive. We work with leading suppliers and manufacturers to ensure we can obtain anything you want in any colour, size or style. And our costs are very much dependent on what you require, but prices range from between £3,000 to £30,000 for a full new kitchen design and installation.

    Q. I think the work of the Kitchen Design Company is amazing! But my kitchens and bedrooms don’t need updating-can you refurbish other rooms?

    A. We can also design and fit home offices and studies. Contact us for more details.

    Q. Any advice for deciding on my new kitchen?

    A. Yes- quality carcass units are a must. Doors and worktops will gradually be affected by wear and tear over time but with a good carcass you can simply replace these and avoid the costs and inconvenience of a full refit for a long time. We also say that you should consider how long you plan to stay in your current home. If you will move in the next few years it can be worthwhile to consider what potential buyers will expect in your home. Appliances such as large double ovens, for example, may be an obvious choice for a large country kitchen. And don’t forget that a new kitchen can really increase the value of your home!

    Q. How long will it take until my new kitchen/bedroom is complete?

    A. We suggest 4-6 weeks as a standard estimate for completion but this is dependent on the survey not throwing up any big problems such as electric or water. Check current lead times at your appointment, but we do normally advise that from early planning stages you allow a full 4-12 weeks to ensure completion.
